Overview
Attenex is a mobile classroom and attendance system with separate teacher and student experiences. Teachers create and manage lectures; students discover active lectures, join with a class roll number, and submit attendance after the session.
Attendance combines a teacher-provided passcode with GPS geofence checks and periodic location pings during a lecture. The app also includes account sign-in, class management, analytics, and persisted offline-aware app data.
Teacher-led live lectures.
Teachers create, edit, and end lectures, manage classes, view attendance, and see lecture analytics. Students select a class, join an active lecture, and follow its live status.
- Separate teacher and student flows
- Lecture and class management
- Live attendance and lecture status updates
- Teacher and student analytics
Location-verified attendance.
Students join and submit attendance with GPS coordinates and a lecture passcode. The server checks the class geofence and valid location pings across the lecture; Socket.IO notifies the teacher when attendance is submitted.
- GPS geofence and periodic presence checks
- Passcode-based attendance submission
- Email, Google, and LinkedIn sign-in
- Persisted queries and queued offline mutations
